He is probably off working somewhere. Mark is very good at returning emails. You will love his kits (I got 2)

Have you pm'd him through here? I'm pretty sure the address he uses here is up to date.

That doesn't mean that it's the most effective means or the best means of getting his attention, thoough... A pm should suffice; doing this way is basically yelling.

Your kits are wooden and have no fiberglass or need for epoxy. Epoxy hardener tend to burn off my skin due to an allergy. It almost sent me to the burn unit ! My hands were under medical treatment for a month after >30 seconds of exposure ! Since then, I worship wood glue.

Wear gloves? Why/how are you getting hardener on your hands? :(

You're going to probably want to glass the bottom, wood kit or not. Seals up everything nicely and adds some strength.

Always wear gloves when working with epoxy. There are some epoxies that are considered "safer" than others, but the hardener is always hazardous. Sounds like you have already developed an allergic reaction to epoxy, so even the fumes will probably bother you. Polyester resin is an OK substitute to put fiberglass on the bottom and spar varnish works well to seal the wooden frames.

I discovered Epoxy burn when I first tried it as a youngster in 1982. The mild rash turned to serious acid like burn after the second try. Needless to say, kids consider themselves to be immortal until this happens. I was not using gloves at the time. I am a bit wiser now and use the material only when needed, in small quantities, where I need a watertight seal, with ventalation, and with gloves.
