    Hey everyone,
I herd about the battle boats in 1994. But, this hobby was only known to me from word of mouth. That' was seen in South Korea from a former friend that was stationed there. I looked for clubs in my area but , I am not having any luck. Perhaps I haven't been looking hard enough. I am in hope that someone else will be able to point me to the nearest club within reason.
    Thanks, fred

Terry Mckinzie (aka "Spuds") is located in Louisville, KY. He's starting up the Bluegrass Battle Group. I suggest you connect up w/ him.

    Hey, Fred, welcome aboard! :)

There are quite a few people in Ohio. Take a look at the Captain Finder for Ohio to give yourself a good idea as to how many battlers are around you.
Possibly some good people to get in contact with would Froggyfrenchman and RCEGNER on this site. They might be able to help you get started.

    Good luck,

There are a grunch of folks in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
Most are battling Treaty, and Battlestations, and some are battling to fast-gun. Both IRCWCC, and MWC.
The Midwest Naval Combat club is having a 3-day battle in Xenia, Ohio on Memorial Day weekend. May 24-26.
We have both Treaty and Battlestations formats taking turns sharing the waters.
We will be having lots of build-sessions during the next two months. Mainly in the Dayton area.
Pleasant Hill, Miamisburg, and probably Beavercreek.
Drop in if you get a chance.

Well , I'm hoping to catch the action in march , and see what's up.. I have seen some cheat builds that are laser cut . For 75 . I also have seen just the fiber glass kits . At first I was under the impression it took fiber glass and the wood frame . Am I mistaken that it don't ?

I am hosting a 2-day build-session in Pleasant Hill, Ohio next weekend. April 26-27.
Drop in if you can to meet the folks, and see some boats.
I sent you a pm with the info.

Hey Fred, I'm in Louisville, we are building a new club here. We will begin battles in Louisville after NATS in June. We are a fastgun club here but can also handle treaty folks.

I have build sessions almost every weekend here at the shop and you are more than welcome to come over, just give me a heads up.

Also, I am headed down to Georgia for the MWC Region 3 Regionals May 2-4th. There is room in the car if your interested in traveling down with me. You will have a great time. That goes for anybody else in the area if they want to travel down.... Room is limited to two additional seats.
