    Level of detail... astounding.

There have been advancements in damage resistant building techniques, these may help convince dedicated scale modelers to try armed combat. Notable is damage resistant foamy (tm) and damage proof techniques by the Austrailians. Fast gunners have termite armor, but otherwise I don't know exactly how they build to resist looking like swiss cheese.

If you figure out how to win dedicated scale modelers over to RC combat... That would be good news, as I think here in the states, they think we are crazy :)

As a Former, Detailed, Scale Modeler: I find that this hobby apeals to my wild side. I am looking forward to creating parts out of foamy that can be blown off of the ship without being dammaged. To recover those parts and put them back onto the hull for the next battle.

    Wow![:0]...
Answering mikes question...most small gunners (in Canada at least) use styrene or other forms of plastic, the bb's bounce right off. Some people use resin over the styrene to make the superstructure pretty much indestructable.

Question for Clavier, are there any suitable lakes/ponds near you? I know Brittany has a coast, but I don't think you want to go swimming in the ocean for your boat[:p] If you're curious about the rules for small gun, check out Visit this site
It might be a little dry, but I don't think you should have any trouble understanding (if I'm wrong that's what the forum is for!)

Fuzzy we have a lot of places with ponds, lakes, artificials or not. Morbihan golfe and Vannes city where I live is a bit like the sea shore in Seattle.
