    Hi there Treaty club!
I decided to come on for the first time in forever to offer a solution to your "bad blood" issue. I personally have only issue with one person.... Pottle put your hand down.... it isn't you, we already had our well publicized pissing match and personally, I've stayed out of the issues.... especially because one of us was consulting a lawyer.... that's when I said, have your cake and eat it too, buddy. You reap what you sow. The issue is dead to me. I can't speak for about seven others... who smile to your face.....So I concede this to you.... have your boat club... it is yours and well played! I think that as someone who has put that kind of energy into this that you have should have your own slice! Keep it that way. NATCF should be the multi-format club. Not NABS. Enjoy it have fun and peace be with you. You have upwards of ten guys that will play your format. Take the gear. The Halifax face of NABS has changed since Curt and I left and that is fine. NATCF is primarily a Halifax club and so it shall stay. You are not interested in Russel, Chuck, Joy, Gregory, Paul, Brechin, Me, Chris, WIll, Heidi, Bob, Jim, Dave, Christian, Osborne, Curt or Faye... and that is fine. Let NABS go back to Curt who, both he and I have been instructed to stay out of this and as of tonight I put my foot down and said enough is enough, you guys take the tanks and fill station which is what this is really about. MOVE ON. No one wants NABS to be multi-formated. Let it go. Steve, Jay, Paul, Curt, Chris, Chuck, Joy, Easterbrook, you and I were NABS over the last few years and of those people, you wanted treaty. Invite who you want and let the rest go.
The event here will be a multi-format/multi-club event. We are encouraging everyone regardless of their boat make-up to compete. If that means nobody shows well.... at least it was tried. So I put the olive branch out there. The real issue should be that NATCF be the Multiformat club. The gear can go with you folks.... no one here will shed a tear for it. We have all the gear needed to run a fifty+boat event. As far as NABS in the NS. Curt, Easterbrook and I all had a chat this afternoon. As the last voted President and Curt as the longest serving member and president we both agreed that NABS is a regional club. Not to be run by people in one area. Curt would hold NEWF.... I or Osborne or Easterbrook here in NB and Paul or Chuck or Joy in NS, or all of the above. As these are the members who have an interest in keeping NABS running as an IRCWCC club. I also think that any other combat styles can battle with us.... but that dual format will have to be looked at and voted on. It is an IRCWCC club and should remain so.
Anyways.... best of luck to you all and I hope this clears the air once and for all.
Let's stop acting like a bunch of spoiled children, who have no idea which way is up and play a game!
I for one, will be out this year..... that is all I can say for me..... If I offended anyone.... I apologize and you need to learn to take critisizm as I have.

I suspect Craig that this will not clear the air. It will mean an other season pissed away.

unfortunately Paul.... everyone here has to man up and move on. Everybody has what they want in the end and let's get down to business.

As far as season's being pissed away if treaty goes off and does their thing Ircwcc does their thing and once and a while we blow each other's ships up.... that is the way it will be.

Now. The real culprit in all this is the backstabbing, backroom deals that there are a few who are interested in keeping that happening... they enjoy that as much as getting on the water. Those people need to get a life and move on. Quit wasting our time. We have battling to do. That is what it is all about. THere are two seperate entities here which will never co-exist. Halifax based NATCF and NABS regional club. End of list. Line up where you need to .... flip between the two if that is what.... wait for it... "Floats your boat!" But, stop all this insane bullshit. It's been a year now.... nothing is happening. People go where they need to go and let's get things going!

As far as clearing the air Paul? It may never happen as long as people hang on to old arguments. Let it all go .... as I posted earlier... let the NATCF have the gear as the Halifax based club.... NABS stays Regional as it is. Paul... start prepping for a battle with Chuck and Joy's help and we'll find a way to attend. Ours is going as planned sponsered by the city. Can't wait.... details to follow. If we get anymore battles then that in great! If not.... that is the season and so be it... we can't be agressive cause we don't have the time frame... don't have the funds... and we are all too far spread out. By summer's end we will have 7-8 captains on the water (potentially) in Fredericton! Thank-god for Gagetown! And so the hobby is alive and well here. Curt is working on things in St.John.... you Chuck and Joy need to figure something out down that way. As far as the future... I will be returning to stay in 2010.... it may be far off.... but there is still hope.

    Guys,
To address a few issues raised here (see also the latest NABS and NATCF posts):
    1) I had nothing to do with the NABS dual format proposal, but it seems that rumor was spread among NABS/ARCC members. The dual format proposal came from NABS members (Jay, Steve Crane, Steve Hill, John, and Mack) as explained in Jay's post on the NABS forum, not from the NATCF.
    2) There was no plot by NATCF members to take over NABS' equipment by forming a dual format club with the local NABS members. NATCF will have more than enough equipment this year and doesn't need anything NABS owns. Again, it was a group of NABS members who suggested the dual format, not the NATCF membership
    3) There has been no decision that the NATCF would suddenly become 'the dual format club' if the NABS membership votes against its own members' 'dual format' proposal. The NATCF is a Washington Treaty Combat club because our members prefer that combat format.
    4) NATCF members can belong to as many clubs as they want., but belonging to NABS or the ARCC will have no impact on that person's rights, or any role that person might like to take on as an NATCF member.
    5) The NATCF membership supports occasional joint events between clubs, like the very successful NABS/NATCF event in October. NABS and NATCF members in the Halifax area will be sharing a common battle site and events will coincide occasionally. We need to behave maturely, as happened in October. If some people feel they can't be civil it would be better for everyone if they avoided such events. The great majority of us in NS have been getting along fine.
    6) Nearly everyone in our clubs wants to build models and have fun, not deal with recurrent BS and angst. Wouldn't it be wise for your membership to speak to whoever is continuing to promote false rumors and negativity?

Thanks for clearing things up Bob I have sent a private email to Jay J regarding some of the things you have posted here with a possible solution to these problems. It may work, it may not but at least I tried, I did try to fix some myself but to no avail and as for the membership speaking to who ever is promoting this, I was only passing along this information as it MUST to be addressed and I cannot fix it alone. I for one would love to hear that eveyone is happy and gets along but this is not the case, what I am sick of is hearing about what one person did or said to someone else and I hear it too often. If someone has a problem with someone else it should be directed to that person and if they cannot settle it between themselves them the club should step in and either help settle it if possible or deal with it in punative manner. This is long over due but we should try and keep any negative remarks off of these forums but that being said a person should have the right to voice there opinon, it still is thier constitutional right, some people must grow a thicker skin not every comment is meant with mallace and we are all guilty of puhing the submit button too fast from time to time, we are atfer all just human.
