I'm using a 24"x24"x24" gigabot which I enclosed the chamber and heated it. Wanting to get started in this hobby, and print as much as possible. I have designed and printed an I-400. Prob not the best place to start, any suggestions? Anyone near Las Vegas?

    Welcome to the party!

When you say things like this, and DONT post a picture... kittens everywhere are very sad.

    See above statement.

It's just a basic hull, didn't think it would make anyone excited. I will try to post a pic in the next day or two when I get time!

Now to figure out how to make it into a fighting model. I'm pretty adept with building, prototyping, R/C (although I do need a HAM FQ or at least ground FQ 6-8 channel radio) I scratch build FPV racing drones etc. Some of that tech could possibly be used for this project. Same printer also prints in the nylons (which are much harder to print), and are just as strong as most fiberglass projects.

Very cool. Looks like you've dialed in that printer. That's not easy to do!

very nice. did you print the hull in 4 sections on end? or are the more sections and the seams are just not visible?

I printed it on 4 sections on end. When I decided to print a frame with ribs, I may just print it in halves with the windows already "empty" and support to hold up the printing of the ribs. It would have been too much support material to print it the other way for now. I will probably be recycling filament soon, and then using support won't be as big of a deal.
