Strength, the ribs are 1/8 thick and it will be shot at repeatedly. I will drill holes near the bottom of each rib for water flow.

RE: How dose this look? and I have a Q once the frame is built. Looking at your design again, I just couldn't resist asking, with the taller ribs, won't it raise your center of gravity by setting all your internals on top of them?

I have a Plan. I'm still working on it but here is what I have so far. Besides its a cargo boat not a gun boat although it could have a Bebe gun fore and aft because if the 4 inch deck guns the original boats had, I might add them later but not in this initial design.

RE: How dose this look? and I have a Q once the frame is built. Nice looking work. Not sure about all 1/8" ribs, but other than being less fun to sheet, it'll work fine in combat, I expect :)

What program did you draw it in?

Delft Ship Tugboat. What do you think about the lower area in the center of the ship for lower grav? I will place a flat sheet as the floor when Im done. I plan to make a PDF for 1/144 on print out, if people dont play with the size it should print out at the right scale.

Ok here it is still working on it but for the most part the Hull is finished all that is left is the structures and the masts top side.

Are you planning on getting this cut with a laser cutter? If you are, you might be able to sell them. :)

RE: How does this look? and I have a Q once the frame is built. That works, too. For lasercutting, the companies that do it have specs for how wide they want the lines drawn, etc. But on the plus side, no cutting at home. I eat sawdust all the time, so it doesn't bother me :)

My plan was to make the PDF as a 1/144 scale on 8.5x11 in. so people could just print and go with out having to scale it and the ability to have a exact copy of the ship I have on the plan. I have asked how to add my plan to this web site once I was finished with them I was thinking about making plans for a baby flat top set also.

RE: How does this look? and I have a Q once the frame is built. I'll pm you with my email address, I can add it to the free plans part of the site. When I add my own stuff on there, I usually put a note on each page out of the way that the plans may be freely distributed, but not sold.

RE: Liberty Ship design Phase Finished, Pics on Photobucket Slide Show. As long as the measurements match, it's 'approved'. In any case, it looks great! Nice work :)

RE: Liberty Ship design Phase Finished, Pics on Photobucket Slide Show. sorey I have not been on lateley I havent had internet for a bit now but I am working on the plans for people to print out on a 8'1/2 x 11 sheet of paper for 1/144 scale so no resizing will be required on print out.
