    Hi all,
I just recieved a set of four 3-cell LiPo batteries in the mail. One of the batteries has what looks like a pinhole puncture through the outer layer of shrink tubing. I have poked such holes myself, in NiMH batteries to aid drainage after a sink, but I know that LiPo is much more fragile and much more volatile. Fortunately in this case, the battery is not leaking any fluid, has not puffed up, and has not violently combusted.
The batteries were all loosely packed in a box along with a bunch of other parts. It looks like a corner of another part simply got pressed through the outer shrink tubing, into a gap in the side between two of the battery cells. SO what should I do? Should I immediately call the company and ask for a replacement? Should I cut away the outer shrink tubing to check the if the actual cells have been punctured?

Call the company immediately, do not modify the part in any way. They packaged it poorly it is their responsibility to make it right.

Thanks, will do. Their poor packaging crushed the fuselage for my micro Sopwith Camel, too :(
