Hey, folks! Does anybody know what Tugboat is up to? I haven't heard anything from him recently and I need to get in contact with him.

The last news I heard was November 30, when he told me he would be shipping a hull and some turrets to me the next day. I haven't seen bow nor stern of that hull and turrets. The ship those turrets were for has officially been sold, and I'm supposed to deliver it ready-to-run on the 29th.

He also said on the 30th that he'd been working the night shift at a hospital. I hope he's all right but some news would be very welcome.

I talked to him not that long ago, and he was working to pay back a whole crapload of unexpected expenses (medical I believe). I have his phone number and will give him a call tomorrow and see what is going on.

Oddly enough, he just got back to me. He had some very large medical expenses and a doctor's order to stay away from resins. He has been working at the hospital to pay them off and has gotten the OK to go back and start working with resins again.

I'm back, can't stay on long (at work right now). I am still doing boat stuff, albeit at a slower pace. My priorities at this point are to meet existing commitments: Carl, I have the turrets done. The holdup is getting the fiberglass clean on Willie Mackett. Second priority is Mark's Yamato turrets, and from there I will be working on hulls. I have one HMS Kent hull in inventory (not counting the one I made for myself). As I can play with resin again, more will be coming.

PLEASE WATCH YOURSELF WHEN DEALING WITH 'GLASS & RESIN!!! GOOD GOD MAN! DIRECT FRESH AIR (OUTSIDE IF POSSIBLE), AIR FILTERS, QUALITY DUST MASKS, AND GOOD CLEANUP!! I thought you were in med school for a while?

->When you get the chance, please make a write up about what happened & what you did that made you sick. Fiberglass is getting more and more common on these ships... we don't want someone 'glassin themselves to death!

It wasn't work-related :) I have ventilation and I wear masks for all work that throws particulate (even sawdust). I had some extensive rearrangement of my sinuses and interior parts of my nose, and while that was healing and growing new tissue I couldn't be near a lot of stuff that gives off fumes. Didn't mind not doing housework, but not being able to play with my boats... (staring at a pair of Kent hulls, no less)

A nose job? :) Does Tuggy look beautiful now? :) I've heard that simply holding a red strip beer also makes you beautiful. :)

-->(I have never seen you; so please forgive me if you are/were horribly disfigured. I just can't miss an opportunity to tease a friend! :) )

Not disfigured, lol. I had given some thought to holding a Red Stripe. "Hooray Responsibility!" (for those who have seen that ad)

I've tried holding a red strip before; I, at least, thought it was a major improvement. Typically now I have one with me, no matter where I am.

    Hooray Beautiful!
