Hello, I am looking to build an Insect-class gunboat and I need a 38 inch, flat back hull. Can someone help me find a manufacturer who either makes these or does custom hulls?

There's not much to those hulls. Basically a flat bottomed barge with a pointy end. Should be easy enough to fabricate from scratch.

Build your own out of whatever you want (plastic, wood, etc..)
    Plans:
    Warships
    HMS Gnat
    Ref: MAR2300
HMS Gnat. Insect Class gunboat. Drawn at 1:48th scale. Hull length 1530mm, beam 230mm, with shallow draught and props in underwater tunnels. Performs well in model form and attracts lots of interest. One large sheet, with full size working model drawings.

    Price: £12.00 / US$14.60 (US$ Tax Free Price)

That's funny, an Insect-class gunboat was what I wanted...

Except the group I'm likely to join is a 1:72

Plenty of information here or other sites on how to build your own hull. May your "google-fu" be strong. I suggest if you have already picked out a scale, that you get in contact with the group you will be battling with for help. Just building a great little boat is fantastic, but not much fun if you don't get to battle.
