I highly recommend you take the canopy off your tent if there is a storm advisory with high winds during the night. Because this happens...
Friday afternoon battle, sortie 1. Sides were Will's Dunkirk and my KEVII versus Rick and Carl's Nassaus. View: https://youtu.be/6no5kwOqdhQ
Dunkerque still has a *lot* of teething problems but we are sorting it out one battle at a time. Next few weeks will be busy with local pond trials trying to iron out the bugs.
Second sortie on Friday. It was supposed to be a free-for-all since Will's Dunkurque had a loose prop and had to drop out, but it was more like King versus Nassaus. Oh well, it was fun anyways. View: https://youtu.be/Pxo5gVlNNT0
Oh yeah, I survived the Coxsackie Stealth Tornado of Death that whipped through the pits Saturday. Detroyed a tent and broke a switch off Rick's radio, but luckily nobody was hurt.
Had a similar wind situation at a fly in in NM. A microburst came thru and caused a scale tornado to come thru the pits. Picked up my Chip Hyde Double Vision 50cc biplane and smashed it down on the runway apron breaking it into several large pieces. I was devastated. Didn't even get to fly it that event as I had just got the thing pit together and was going after my fuel jug when this all happened. Wind was so strong it took my hardware organizer full off bolts nuts ECT off the table and well there's still probably hardware on the ground lol.
