In fast gun WCC rules. Can a 6 unit ship have 2 1 unit pumps? Or is it only allowed the one pump? Thanks, Stu
I belive that both MWC and IRCWCC both alow a class 6 to have 2 pumps. However, there are several reasons you don't need or really want two pumps. 1) There is one good location for a pump, that is about 1/3 ship length from the stern. 2) A good pump will move about 1.75 gallons/minutes. 3) a second pump will not double the amount of dammage you can surive, as blow out become more likly. 4) You have to lose a cannon to get that extra pump. You need all the fire power you can get.
is their any rules on how you must mount your output of the pump? I have seen where it pumps up so you get a cool guizer and have seen where it pumps off to a side and also off the stern. the latter look like they could be used as a secondary weapon as a way to flood a ship or even help roll and unstable ship? but then i have seen battlers use prop wash to help sink a ship
There is no rule of where you mount your pump. Most guys put it about 1/3 ship length from the stern. Large ships like Iowa & Yamato might benifit from a second pump... I only have 1 in mine though.
