There is nothing I like more than coming on here to my favorite R/C warship site, and seeing great photos in the warship builds section.
I saw that one of our friends up north has his eye on the Montana.
But the shipping might be an issue.
Well I can honestly say that I would pay to see Stokamoto put his mojo to work on a Montana.
In days gone by, we use to scrape together funds to pay for the site costs so that we could all get together here and chat up the boats and promote this wonderful hobby that we all share.
Now that Strikemodels runs the site, we have not been having to do that anymore.
So I am willing to lay down some funds to help cover the cost of shipping a Montana to one of our northern brothers just to see a build-thread full of beautiful photos of the beast.
I am in for 20 bucks.
Anyone else interested in seeing what the detail guru can do with the big U.S. hypo?
    Mikey

Also, be sure to have the person interested in the Montana give us a call and we can look into what the shipping rates might be. There are some programs to reduce international shipping prices that we have found. Not sure if it's just overseas, or if it works for Canada as well.

I spoke with Stephen at Strike models, the price for shipping is around 120 USD, If Curt wants to build one, I'll make sure it can get to him.

There you go. That's the spirit!
And on top of that being taken care of, keep in mind that one might be able to ship something else inside of that beast if someone from the region wanted some
    other hull, or hulls.
So we stand ready to do our duty. If this thng actaully happens it will be great fun for us all.
    Thanks.

We could send a whole fleet in that box! That's a great point Mikey. We're happy to put other stuff in there, either hulls or other items, and ship it all together. It shouldn't affect the shipping cost too much until we get into a bunch of weight.

    No problem.
I recall going to the IRCWCC Nats one year with a large package that was shipped to me from Canada.
It contained six or seven hulls, all tucked inside of one another.
It is a great way for folks in one region to split the coshing cost on hulls and such.
We waited until Tuesday at the event to open the box. It was like Christmas in July.

Wow guys Thank you very much! I am speechless. ( Yes that is possible) That is a very gracious gesture. I will be heading to Orlando for a few days to stay with former Battler then head to Cape Caneveral to board the Ectacsy Cruise ship for a 5 day cruise and ports. I been wondering if I could get a hull while I was in the U.S and then figure out how to get it back to Canada inexpensively. I 'll be in Florida in October.

For the Montana seeing that this would be the largest model for me to build other than Yamato I would document that build for my Youtube Channel and I would detail it.

Thankyou for that. Sorry for the incorrect info. I am working on the audio for my next video called Bismarck and Yamato. So far the adobe premier program says it is too lon g for transfer to youtube. I am sure that Youtube can take long videos these days of 10 minutes or more .

It would be considerably easier to just ship the hull to Canada. The hull would be considered oversized for luggage, and you'd pay way more to the airlines for transport than you would to a shipping service.

Try sending it to morgret at stanfordalumni dot org. Also, send me a copy of the bounce message so I can see if it's something on our end. So sorry about that!

I figured I would order the hull and deck kit seeing as there is no superstructure kit made for it however I would probalby get one custom made for it using the high density foam material. I would get the secondaries and radars and the AAA suite. Lifeboats and I would get the same planes I got from Peter's planes and get the photoetch radars SK2 Radar and catupult and crane. I would order the drive pkg and install the pate style rudders. I would get an addtional ESC as well as I would like to install 4 working working engines. Also a bilge pump and termite exterior siding for the superstructure.

I would later hook up all the search lights and install full running light suite.

Right now I can't do that yet as I am currently up to my eyes in projects plus trying to raise money for my trip for spending money.

I will defiintly document the build.
