email......... from nats. The score as I heard it was Allies by around 3,000 points after Monday. This suprised everyone here. Mostly because it felt like the Axis crused the Allies in campain. The fleet battle was going very well for the Allies in the first sortie, then went really bad in the 2nd. Sinks where (That I remember)
Konig, John P. (He call it some prince Billy something)
Derflinger, Leif. He lost a rudder and got shot up in the first sortie.
TMGBC, Peter E. Lamb found him beached on the shore and put 50+ belows into him.
VDT Flugel, forgot to turn on his pump...
Baden Dallas, Not sure why he sank.

NC Ron H. Jeff & Tyler got him in the 2nd sortie.
Tom P We Vee. Not sure who shot him up.
    Iowa Brian Lamb, clogged pump.
Barham John B, light damaged, must have been a pump.

I know there were a couple more on each fleet. Axis win by 2000 or so.

Campain again started well for the Allies. But the 2nd 1/2 belonged to the Axis.
The kept 4 targets standing. A few Allied cruisers dumped bbs into Dirty's Kongo. Andy's Baltimore desheeted three panels. Then Bob & Andy tried putting some sidemounts into him. How it floated into port, we're not sure.
Allies had 1 left, the board was a little high and the guns could not reach it.
    The Axis lost:
    Red freighter, Pete E
    Altmark Steve D
    Konig (Prince???) John P
    Prince Eugen Nathan G
Adm Sheer Rick K Shot up by what he thought of as a "Friendly Frog".
TMGBC Peter E hit by Iowa & NC

    The Allies lost
    Freighter
    Tanker
NC Andy T Jeff & Tim B got him
Washington Bob H 2 VDT rams and a chase by the Tim & Jeff team
Iowa Brian L Tim B got hit with the Bismarck
    St Louis Ron H
    Atlanta Tim K
    Fyule??? Ty's little thing.
    Figi Chris G

Somehow the Allies win by 4000-5000

There might have been another Axis warship and or some other convoys sunk.

I read on one of the mailing lists that there was some storm damage to the NATS hotel as well. Lost 30+ feet of roof and power for several hours.

Rick should know by now that there is no such thing as a "friendly" frog.
    Haha.

My personal opinion on French ships is shoot first, accept their surrender later. They're all Vichy to me!

I was there on tuesday.... me and my dad flew out from SLC and got there at around 9, but it was strange since no one was there. Evidently they had a tornado on monday night, and it took out the electricity. So some of the guys were there late. But everybody was extremely nice and very helpful. It felt like I knew the guys before. So the battle got started and I'm not very sure but I know that the West Virginia, Bismarck, Von der Tann, Konig, and the Andrea Doria, but i know there were some others.... but yeah if you can go, get off the computer chair and GO!!!!

The Tornado actually came very close or did hit the west side of the hotel. That happened around 10 in the evening, and the power did not come back on till 5:15 in the morning. So on tuesday it was decided to start late, since no one got much sleep, and batteries needed to be charged. Rooms were flooded, and we had up to 2 ft of hail.

djranier how did your benbow perform? I am interested in either an Iron Duke or a SoDak for my next purchase (build). Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

It performed pretty well. I was able to empty all the guns, except for the stern haymaker once due to me forgetting to pull the safety pin one sortie. I like the stern haymaker on the ID over the Sodak gun setup myself, plus 10+ pounds lighter, for the loss of one gun.

I did sink once, but it took, 98 above, 14 on, and 61 belows.

Thanks for the reply. I still havent decided yet. Also to be honest the Duke appeals to me due to the one less gun ( $$$$$$$) that and the tweeking of the triple sterns. What the main thing I thought might be a issue was the bow wave when running at speed with the Duke. But, I have to remind myself is that I shouldn't try running that much. I now have a cruiser.

    Thanks again.

WW1 Dreadnuaghts all tend to be a bit bow heavy or atleast down a bit at the bow. The Bow wake is not as bad, all ships have them. the Advantage of WW1 boats is you can try a gun setup you would not on a WW2 boat. If allie look at a QE or an ID. If going Axis look at a VDT, a Konig, A Baden or even a VU.
