I wanted to let you know about this, before someone notices it on the NAMBA site and it catches them up in surprise. Per suggestion of a battler from another club, NAMBA has added a Combat Chairman to act as liaison between the Combat Community and the NAMBA Board of Directors. I was asked by NAMBA if I would be willing to serve, and I agreed. Most of you who know me from the list know that, while I, personally, battle Big Gun (that is what my closest pond/club is), but I am fascinated by, and respect and appreciate, all forms and scales of our "magnificent obsession." I will certainly do my best to represent the interests of all RC Model Warship Combat guys, whether Queen's Own, 1/96, 1/144, Big Gun, Small/Fast Gun, Treaty, or whatever format I have mist or appears in the future. This is a new thing for me, so please be gentle. My official contact for Combat Chairman is wreno.wynne@namba.com, and, if you forget, will be on the Contacts list on the namba.com web site. Let me take this opportunity to let you know that Propwash (the NAMBA publication you receive) welcomes Combat related articles, including battle reports. In fact, I have sent some in in the past, and they were published. Also, let me encourage any of you who have procrastinated to get your NAMBA membership renewed so you are covered insurance-wise.
