NETF the north east division of the allied fleet laid down the keel to it's latest Battle ship USS Massachusetts (BB-59), known as "Big Mamie"to her crew members during World War II, was a battleship of the second South Dakota-class. She was the seventh ship of the United States Navy to be named in honor of the sixth state. Her keel was laid down 12 November 2008 at the Powder Monkey Shipyard of Lawrence, Massachusetts. she is the third known ship to be build from this facility Pictures will follow after they have been declassified
Looks like to me, that you have too much room in her vs your cruiser, will you know what to do with it all, LOL. Kidding aside, she is looking good already. How do those motors look like they are going to work, I don't think I have seen anyone used them before. Did them come with any specs? We started today working on Don Cole's new Alabama today, at our local build session, after we finished making 40+ cannons. We just got his rudder servo mount made up, and rudder placement worked out to use my differential rudder steering, she should turn on a dime with it.
http://www.mfacomodrills.com/motors/540-1.html that is a link to the motor stats its all Greek to me I called the guy at Harbor Models and told him what we do the pitch and size of my props and the dimensions of my ship and this is what he gave me we shall see if it works as soon as NAMCO Bay melts it is 42 inches of ice and 8 inches of Snow with 6 to 10 more falling as we speak so I will let you know in the late spring we don't want a repeat of the Titanic LOL yes I am a bit lost with all the space I work with a pair of those big stuffed Hulk hands just to make up the difference []
Nice looking monk, are you going to the build session? I will be there with my boat, batteries, guns, pump, and hardware kit.
It sure looks good! I cant wait for the day we can put your Mass and my SoDak together on the water! The axis will shake in their boots! Buddy
Awesome job, nice Fred! Hook a brother up with some turrets! I was afraid you forgot to keep working on it, I haven't heard from you in a bit. Are the turrets light and do they float? And seriously, can you pull three for me? Let me know what it will cost. I have to get into molding.... So much to do....
LOOKS GREAT BUT MONKEY! Keep up the good work. The axis fleet looks forward to inspecting your build in the spring.
