Well I have 3 boys that love Rc thing and my youngest who is 6 loves battleships so I figured that this might be a fun hobby for all of us to be involved in. Although my youngest won't be shooting anything anytime soon. But on a bright note all he asked for this Christmas was a battleship with tomahawks.... Oh and not the regular ones but the nukes lol. So I think I have a ship lined up.... Just need the nukes lol. But seriously I'm 20 minutes west of Cleveland and looking to get into this with my kids so if there is a battle anywhere close to me let me know thanks
Hi, as this is the winter building season you might not see anything until the North thaws out. What format are you looking at? -Lou
Well I've look at the rules and if I'm correct Treaty seems to be the strictest so I think I'll try to be legal for them and the rest will follow. But before I make my final choice I want to see what format has the most meets close to me and where an Iowa class ship fits the best
You are in a pretty good area for the combat. We have had a few battles just south of Cleveland. But I think that there was some work being done on the battle site this year. Most of the Treaty battles take place in Newark, Dayton, and a couple locations in Indiana. We are having a two-day build-session at my shop in Pleasant Hill, Ohio this weekend. There will be lots of Treaty folks with Treaty boats hanging out and working on the boats. Bring the kids down if you can, and we will help you all get started. Mikey
Thanks for the call soon as I set up yahoo again I'll join the group and look forward to seeing you guys sometime soon
