Hello all, noob from ohio here. Watched a couple videos of the battles and was hooked. Now to the building.... Most likely going to build a treaty boat as I see there are a few in Ohio that run treaty. Very interesting hobby as I look into more of it. Eric
Ohio has all three formats: There is a big gun club, a club that uses IRC rules and treaty, so.... find out which battlers are closest to you.
Welcome to the hobby, hey I am in newark and we have guys in wooster and erie pa, so you are welcome to come try fast gun with the buckeye battle group ! Buddy
Eric Welcome to the hobby, and the site. There are plenty of r/c combat folks and action in Ohio, so you almost can't go wrong. This is the time of year when the battling is starting to wind down, but try to attend some battles being held by the various clubs if you can, before we move into the building season. Meet the folks. See the boats. And we will try to help you get a boat on the water. Good hunting. Mikey
Hey Eric one of our members in erie has a hobby shop and he carries all knids of goodies for ships and has a few himself. Check out Maxwells hobby shop his name is Joe Maxwell. Buddy
Yes I also am i noob from North eastern ohio. I to am looking for a close group. yet im only 15. How close are you to olmsted falls.
Jimmy You are not too far from Ravenna, Ohio. We have Treaty battles there. So Treaty would be a good option. And we are trying to draw a local big-gunner out of retirement from Akron as well. We generally invite the big-gunners up to our Treaty battles, to battle in between our sorties. He has dropped in on two of our events in the past, but has not gotten any of his ships opperational. But we are still trying. So big-gun might be an option as well. Welcome to the hobby, and the site. Mikey
