Welcome aboard! Good to hear from someone in the NTXBG.

Could we talk you into making a build thread and pictures of the mighty beast Yamato as you build her?

Welcome! I am down in Houston but with the fast-gun IRC group. How long have you been involved in Big gun?

I have only been in the hoby for one year. Purchased my hull from battlers connection. This was a very nice hull the only draw back was the hull was cast in a two piece mold and the bottom was not concaved. This is a common problem with two piece molds. So with a little help of my jigsaw off came the bottom. Then utilizing an old door I had spread out some wax paper clamped the boat down and began to lay in fiberglass three layers made it even with the portion I cut out. No need for mold boat hull supplied it's own. Flat bottom at last. Superstructure was a nightmare on this beast but with a little patience it was done. After looking at the armmaments I decided to go with the original layout and ripped off the lower portion of the superstructor and rebuild to make room for side turrets still in the works. Current prodject is the main batterys "guns". Just finished the milling my accumulators.

Welcome.... You seem to be further along in the hobby than I am, ha ha. Your ship looks pretty cool.
