I had a great run for 4 hrs to shake off the winter layup of Yamato. This was last week. Forgot my Boots. Yes I did and the water was very cold.

The Newspaper caption read "Boating on the pond----with a difference

    the description read...
Curt Stokes of St.John's retrieves his radio-controlled model of the Japanese Second World War battleship Yamato from Mundy Pond Wedesday. Operated by batteries, the vessel has lights and can even fire it's guns.

Since then I have had a lot of comments from co-workers and 12 comments from the paper itself ranging from " I have a Bismarck and I wouldn't take it out for fear of people throwing rocks at it and sinking it." to inquires on where a Model Airplane club can be found to a wierd comment about this person sailing their model too, it hit an iceberg and the 2 lovers went down with the ship ect ect.. real nut case. But overall I am still getting comments and queries about it. I showed several people the combat vids from Youtube tonight. I'll be out again Friday with Roma and Yamato.

I hope my 1/72ND gato will be ready for the next battle sinks so I can film the ships resting on the bottom as the sub approaches the wrecks.

People would think differently about throwing rocks after a triple stern salute!!!

The only one who ever threw rocks at my boat was my "ex wife"
    Should have saluted!

One of the NABS cannats videos the camera man took a dual sidemount to the nuts. You can hear the grunt of pain and his words "Come on Guys. Don't shoot your cameraman in the nuts!"
