Strike Models has now added ship plans to their list of great products. If they are as good as my Agano plans, I am sure all captains will be happy! Thanks and kudos to Stephen and Keri. www.strikemodels.com Steve
Thanks for the post pointing that out. We only have the US ships up so far, but we do have over 100 plans total. The rest should be up this weekend. You can go directly to them with this url: http://www.strikemodels.com/products/ship-plans/
We have plans for most, but not all, of the ships that we sell. Tonight I added plans British, Russian, French, and Italian ships, with Japanese ships to be added over the weekend. Is there a specific ship you're looking for? Ping me, and I'll let you know if we have it.
But we have cool polarized safety sunglasses and new lightweight regulators and other cool products we don't even have up yet on the site. Does that help make up for it? =]
We have the USS Sumner, which I believe was modified to be the Gearing by adding 14 feet in the middle.
Yeah... I saw the sumner; and you are right gearing is just an extended sumner. We'll see once Tirpitz is on the water next year.
I am very interested in Enterprise CV6 plans. site says plans are one sheet...I have a question. do the plans include hull frames AND deck details? I ask because when Ray and I built our New Orleans CAs, we had to make our frames from the fore/aft "spiderweb" .and it was a pain.
What do you mean, "spiderweb?" is that the diagram showing ribs, and locations of vertical and longitudinal cross-sections? Those are actually very useful to have, if the vertical and longitudinal cross-sections are actually included.
by "spiderweb", I mean the fore/aft contour lines...where the right side of the diagram shows rib shapes from stern to midship, left side shows from bow.to make a rib, trace the half it shows, then "flip" your tracing to get the other half. would much rather have plans that allready show all the ribs. then, just photocopy all the ribs on the plans, cut the paper patterns out, gluestick them right onto the wood, and begin cutting. much easier.
