    Hi,

I'm into RC planes and have also been considering getting into this hobby also. Is there a basic started kit that is pretty cheap for guys like me?

    Thanks!

Battlers Connection and Strike Models both have starter kits. Cheap is a relative question :)

I did not see one called "starter kit, " so I was wondering if there was a specific name or if you could tell me where to find it on the websites?

They won't be labeled "starter kit". Most ships on either site will have a level of difficulty rating somewhere on the ship's page. Most 3 unit* cruisers are considered good starter ships. Like Prinz Eugen, Northampton, Suffren, and Des Moines.

*A unit is either a 50 round cannon, or a pump with a 1/8" restrictor. So a 3 unit cruiser would generally have 2 one unit cannons and a 1 unit pump.

Really suggest getting together with the guys near you before you commit to buying anything though. Gives you a chance to see things in person before you buy.
