Off Topic: My house is nearing completion!

    Just thought I'd share the exciting news in my life... My house is ~30 days until completion! It will be the best Christmas present ever!

    It looks like it would have been too close to the neighbors anyway. then you can't get them out of it on hot summer days!

    Tried to buy an extra lot, but the city doesn't want 'empty lots' in my area. What BS is that, huh?

    In some places, they call those "parks".

    How could a city prevent anyone from buying land & not building on it? Only way I can think of might be a HOA covenant.

    I'd say that there are an awful lot of "empty lots" there now[:p] and a nicely landscaped one would make for a nice change relative to the rest of the 'em.
