I am slowly getting back into this hobby. I have battled a few times then went dormant for a long time because of family getting in the way. I am in michigan and am starting to look around again. Any advice as to suppliers and battle locations would be beneficial. We thanks for letting me in and hello to all.
Welcome aboard! i'm told Michigan is a great place and the captains there seem pretty great too. @WillCover and @Panzer will probably be a long very soon to swoop down on you. Primary parts suppliers right now are Battler's Connection ( http://battlersconnection.com/ ) and Strike Models ( http://strikemodels.com/ )
At the Saranac battle we also go over boat building tips and would be glad to help you choose a ship and build it. The suppliers --Battler's Connection ( http://battlersconnection.com/ ) and Strike Models ( http://strikemodels.com/ ) have a large selection of ships and supplies. kas
Hey!!! Welcom! I fully understand life getting in the way, if i can help in any way, just let me know. Kas, Will Cover, and Mark Roe are fantastic guys and a wealth of knowledge. I am in Muskegon Mi. If you want to get together and build let us know, also the upcoming battles are on the GLAS link for local clubs. Hope we can get together soon and play with toy boats!!!
Sorry am late to the "swooping" Welcome...did you have a ship before? where did you battle?...I expect a report no less than 2000 words single spaced in triplicate on my desk by Friday... PS:Beware of KAS, he is a smart ass... and Craig(panzer) is a moonshiner.
I don't have enough fingers and toes to count to 2000. I have 3 hulls currently that are in need of refurbishment and refit. Uss north carolina, liberty ship and the hms lusitania. Liberty ship is the closest to being seaworthy but I haven't even tested the radios in about 6 years.
