Someone asked how the pocket-battleships are set-up, and how well they do in Treaty. First off. They are still 3.5 units, and as Conway's gives them 28 knots, their speed is 32 seconds per 100 ft. They can pump 3/4 gpm (utilizing a half-unit for the pump), which leaves them 3 units for cannons. One can opt for either (3) 50 round cannons, or (2) 75 round cannons. The couple that we have seen running so far, have done well, as they are fast enough to outrun most of the allied ships on the water that carry side-mount cannons, except for the large battlecruisers, (which can't keep up with them in a turn). The allied cruisers have a slight speed advantage on them, which makes things quite interesting, when they duel. Mikey
i am building a pocket battleship, the graf spee, but it is for fast gun. and im not exactly sure how your speed thing works in treaty, but that sounds aweful slow to me.
Well our ships speed charts are based around what the actual speed of the ship was. 30 knots = 30 seconds, and it goes from 1 second increments from there. All of our ships are slower then Fast Gun ships....A Yamato is only 33 seconds (27 knots), and an Iowa is only 28 seconds (32 knots). As Mikey said, the pocket battleships we've seen out on the water have done really well regardless of their speed. They are still faster then most of the capital ships, and can out turn the ones that can catch them. They're really annoying pests of ships.
