The local hobby shop is hosting a customer appreciation day event here in Dayton on Sunday June 28.
WE try to go out with the boats and put on a show every year. On a couple of occasions, they let us have a short battle.
There will be all forms of R/C there. Cars, helis, planes. They usually have some of the race folks come out and put on shows as well.
Anyhow, we are inviting all r/c combatants to come out and take part.
We generally have several Treaty ships there, as well as big-gun boats, and I always take the Battlestations Strasbourg.
So if anyone is interested in dropping in, just contact me at MDeskin@aol.com
    Hope to see you there.

I also heard that the Wright-Pat AFB is having something that they call tatoo, (or taps), something like that on that Friday night (I think). Sounds like they have a bunch of planes fly over the base or something.

Phil and I just got back from the R/C event here in Dayton.
What a great time. The weather was great. The folks were great.
We didn't run the boats, but instead set up the tables near the flying area (and food) haha.
Lots of folks stopped in to say hey, and ask questions.
I have just posted some new photos of the event.
We had a nice collection of ships to show. A pair of Bearns, Tourville, Prince of Wales, and Hood for Treaty.
We also had Strasbourg, and Tashkent for Battlestations.
    A really fun time.

My Bearn. Phil's Newport News, and Bearn. Some big-gun quad cannons, and Phil's new toy.

The ships look great! I really liked the PoW and Hood picture. :)
