We heard somewhere that the very first ever R/C warship combat battle was held on April 20 or 21 way back in the late 70s. Seems like 1978.
So we decided to have a birthday battle for this wonderful hobby that we all enjoy so much.
We all had a great time. But it was pretty cold. Perhaps we should have gone to Texas.
    Enjoy!

I'd be curious what the cost of shipping one of those "things" to the Rock is when you do decide to get one ;)

WWCC has a member with a Montana. The thing is a monster. Only seen it operational once but boy does it pack a punch when operational. The gentleman also has the secondary turrets all working. If he ever gets the ship to run reliably I do not believe there is a single ship to match it in single ship action.

I t hink it would be expensive to ship it to the Rock (Newfoundland) Still I might have to sacrifice a few ships I currently have to get it.

Well, Stokomoto, it's cheaper than the gas to drive to Seattle and back to pick up the Montana from us in person!

Interesting dilemma you have there Stokamoto.
I read your post a few days ago. And have been chewing on it.
I think it would be great to see you apply your mojo to a Montana.
I think this may require a new thread.

Oh so true! It cost me an arm and a leg just to drive from here to NY.

I gotta say I enjoy seeing these pics from you guys. I find I am using my ship recognition skills to identify the ships and I enjoy seeing the variey of ships in the photos. These always make me smile when I see these and it reminds me of the local Nabs battles and the fun we had with our local meets.
