    If anybody's interested, 6-channel surface transmitters for $56:

    I know nothing about them other than what's on the page. Note that, unlike many "aircraft-oriented" systems, the CH5 "landing gear" channel is proportional rather than just switched, "up/down".

    Seems like it might be a good deal, for those still interested in "conventional" radios.

    They're single conversion FM, so more susceptible to interference, but should be okay. If you order one, be sure to order the correct output (+ or - because it matters in servo selection)

    Of course, it is a pretty basic radio. The VEX, for $29.95 from All Electronics is far more capable (programmable endpoints, mixes, etc.), and the frequency is user changeable legally, though the crystal sets are limited. There is a discussion of these on the NTXBG knowledgebase.
