As you may or may not know (and shouldn't be surprised by either way) Radio Shack filed for Bankruptcy the other day. I think we all know the vast majority of their offerings are overpriced and the quality typically isnt 1st rate but they still have some useful items. Word on the street is that the Fire Sale has already started in some stores (list of closing stores) and now might be a good time to pick up some stuff at a slightly more reasonable price.

Oh and do you want a cell phone or batteries with that?

I kind of hate to see them go, it's one of the few places you can go locally and pick up a couple emergency resistors or capacitors or whatever is holding up a project.....

I'm not sure my local RS knows what those things are... Now, if you want a cell phone accessory...

RS here went away from component sales years ago, we now rely on a company called Jaycar.

Just in RS today. If you use AA's for anything, they got a great deal on 48 packs for $5. The pack is on sale for $15 and there's a $10 coupon in it.
