Anyone use resistance soldering? Any real benefits to our hobby? Was not sure if you could replace the blowtorch and use this to solder guns together without affecting nearby joints. Could you use this for wiring connections (or is this overkill)?
So, early present to me this year. Picked up an American Beauty with tweezers and a pliers handle. Will post results. Looking to see if i can make a great solder joint for guns.
Mixed success, the tweezers really heat up the joint as expected, just have to play with % to get the heat without cooking the flux. The pliers are proving to be a little more difficult.
