Heyyyy.. finally was able to get my pics together from my run at the pond last weekend. The title of this thread is appropiate as the photos will show what it means. Rolling in the deep blue sea (pond) .Enjoy Here we see USS Missouri preparing to set sail While she heads out the sea state is beginning to change , she she makes a turn to port So far it's still smooth sailing The water is getting more choppy Things are getting more rough. Better turn the pump on just in case.
In the middle of nowhere it sure is lonely for a single battleship I think it's time to break out the Gravol pills. Missouri is beginning the roller coaster ride. Thank goodness nobody was on watch back aft. They would have surely been swept overboard. The bow looks like it broke through a large wave. OMG, Stern is under, bow is under and who decided it was the right time to shut the pump off?!:cry:inch: Aahhh that's more like it
Back to smooooth sailing Oh no! Here we go again! I think were are going to fly:blink:The bow is lifting clear of the water and wait... is that the port outer strut coming out of the water? OMG OMG OMG... Son of a %&%&%(%$454445879!!!!
I think we finally cleared that rough patch of water...lets head back to port. Finally made it back safe and sound. Lets get the water out of the ship.
Lets check on the Germans of the DKM Bismarck.... Hmmm...The Bismarck seems like it's fine. Rumor has it that she's a wet ship. Bismarck is gently rolling to starboard and port in the swells.. Bismarck seems to be pitching ....what are those tiny water droplets in the air above the forcastle? A torpedoe hit? There's those water droplets again and the bow looks low... The sea state is changing and the swells are getting bigger.
The Bismarck shrugs it off and sails. So the rumor is true. It is a wet ship at the bow.. Beginning to alter course to starboard..into the waves.. Plunging into the North Atlantic swell.
Damage control I think that mysterious torpedoe hit may have caused some flooding. Engage the pumps Ships pumps are not keeping up with it. Bismarck has taken on some water but still seaworthy..lain: Achtung! Achtung! We are under attack!! Salvo falling near us!
No damage Kapitan #$$%^^&())&^%%#%&*()*^%$ Hood has blown up...see...on the horizon..the big white splash of water.. Make repairs and head to France.
Yeah I think the motor I have is the wrong type or I have a lot of debris in outlet hose. I need to take it out and check it , clean it . I need to vacume the hull and I may have the polarity reversed on the pump side.....yep your right...pump work.
Whoa, talk about heavy-weather sailing. I took my little Z-boat out once during a storm, must have been 6 or 8 inch waves at the time on the lee shore. That little boat couldn't decide if it was an airplane or a submarine, since it was at times 100% airborne and 100% submerged. Wish I'd got some pictures, though...
I found the problem with the pump. I had the polarity reversed on the pump tabs. I just reversed the tabs and viola! Instant pump. I flooded the hull and gave it a good pump workout which the pump had no trouble this time evacuating the water and with a good solid stream at full height. I remember finding some of my small screwdrivers in the hull that I thought were missing.
