Hey! i've just gotten into this new hobby and was wondering if anyone could sell me a rookie ship, such as a light cruiser. Post the name of the ship and the price you want, or just email me at Pharoahmaster42(at)yahoo.com. I am near the pennsylvania area.

    Thanks![:D]

Luke, I would go with plan "B". It is much more rewarding.
    Thanks,

What do you consider a rookie ship. What are your requirements?

The problem with a 2nd hand ship is when things go wrong; you won't know what or how to fix it.

If I were to point a new captain towards a ship I guess it would be a battlecruiser. 4 or 4.5 units.

I agree a battle cruiser would be a good size to start with. stable and fast a full pump and a couple of guns not to complicated to run and a good size to transport.

Do you have prior wooden model-building experience? If you do, you might want to consider the hull plans located here: Visit this site If not, you still do have the option of building them but I believe it would be easier if you were to wait until more of the kinks have been worked out of the design.

(some notes regarding quirks in the initial release are here: Visit this site)
