Running boats in a pool?

    This might sound odd, but what chemical additives if any should be avoided while running an r/c warship? (ie pool=chlorine, pond=something that kills algee etc)

    avoid yellow oil slicks and baby ruth looking objects!!!:woot:

    Chlorine is not good for electronics, also avoid ponds with copper sulfate (greeninsh tint) It kills brushes in motors. Saltwater is no good either.

    Copper sulfate is the only one that I have heard of that is bad for the internals.
    And stay away from Icebergs! Especially if you are allied.

    Oh yeah the ice battle.
