JM pointed out a link to a new WW1 simulation game called Jutland on the Big Gun forum. I followed it and took a look, and found that it is the sequel to a simulation of the Russo-Japanese War called Distant Guns. My brother and I downloaded the demo, and are testing it on his computer. He played the Battle of Ulsan, and had a blast. Obviously, he needs to work on his naval tactics, because he lost two of his four armored cruisers in exchange for all three enemy armored cruisers. It was called "a debatable defeat," because the overall damage his four ships took was greater than that taken by the three opponents.

As I write he is playing a second round. The shells are flying, the blow up bits of boat are flying, he has crossed their T, and is putting the hurt on the Rurik.
