OK water proofing your Radio Receiver, there it is asked Million times at least once by me so I will ask it again. now that I have my new DX6I how have you all waterproofed those two tiny little radios. I know on my older DX 6 just pulled off that cheap plastic cover and filled it with epoxy but these are a little more well built and a heck of a lot smaller:blink:

I'd just pot the whole thing in a block of epoxy and call it good, or you could give it a few good dunkings in skotchkote.

Opened mine up and paited it with Scotchkote. Lighter than epoxy, and easy to repair if an antenna or pin breaks off.

    Cheers,

    OK Scotchkote two ?
    1. How did you get the board off the bigger receiver unclipped the top but the board seams stuck in there
    2. Do you use any other protection? I want to stay away from water retaining boxes.as it was a swampy first half of my rookie year with them. Want to go commando from here on out!

If you epoxy or skotchkote it well you dont need a box.

I purchased the single receivers for my DX6i, when they were doin the 2 for 1 deal. I just tape the sides, and pour the 20 min epoxy right in over the pins, till I see that it is full. After it dries, I just run my exacto knife along side of the pins, and the epony falls right off.
