Hello all, I've seen a vendor or two out there with scale flags, but nothing in WWI German. Any links or suggestions to finding or making a flag?I know I can print some, and I doubt they'll get wet (that was a joke)... but I'm looking for options.

    Thanks everyone,
    Harry

    Hi Harry,

Loyalhanna Dockyards has cloth flags in various nationalities and sizes.

I simply find a naval battle flag online, copy it and then reduce or enlarge it to the scale of my vessals. I then print it out and then place scotch tape over it. I then cut the flag out, slide in the rigging thread and superglue the flag together and then trim it down. If done right, you won't get any ink bleeding and you can shape the flag into the way you want it to wave. I have found that they look pretty good and last a long time.

    Juat my two cents worth.

Another way to print them out is to go to a outdoors shop (hiking, etc.) and buy their map paper for printers (it is waterproof!). Now scale the flags and print on your printer to that paper.

Do you remember the price per flag? And do they have them in 1/144 scale?
    Thanks

I don't have the info with me now but I can check for you when I get home later today from work. The Flags are available in various sizes not scales so you have to figure out what size Flag you want for your ship in 1/144. Check with www.ModelFlags.com on their site. The prices should be there and you can use a universal currency converter to work out the price.
