What if anything works to thin Scotchkote. I have a half can that is getting too thick to use. Hate to just throw it away.

    FD or the older stuff??

Scotchkote FD is 60-75% Acetone by weight according to the MSDS so I'd try that first. Probably smart to test if it thins out acceptably or not in a test batch and not in the actual can of scotchkote, just in case it doesn't work. No need to run the rest of the can.

No idea what to use for the old stuff, just google the MSDS or search 3Ms site.

I tried to thin it with Acetone but it didn't work out, just buy a new can. It was clumpy and not viscus at all even after about 5 oz of Acetone was added.

No thanks I don't need to handle that mix, I'll just buy a new can (and keep holding my breath)
