So, I have gotten to the point where I wanna seal the frames and fiberglass bottom up. I am curious what folks are using. Resin thinned down? Thompsons? I would also like to use it to seal the birch plywood SS prior to painting.

Straight West System resin (1 coat is good), or Spar varnish (2 coats for this).

Second question.... as far as paint. Any brand/kind fill in those minor imperfections and smooth things out?

I don't usually paint the interior, although I've been thinking of changing that. I'll ask Brian K (who does paint the interior already) what he uses. Being a Dean at the local university, he painted the interior in school colors :)
