September 7-9 at Xenia OH will be a dual formal Treaty / Battlestations battle. This year we plan to have more than three ships on the water and hopefully more shots will be fired.
All are invited, who is up for the challenge?

The Strasbourg, and Mogador will be there.
We are also hoping to bring the submarine out to show it off.
I do not think it will be ready for sea trials though.

Karen and Marina will be staying at Karen's moms place that weekend, so that we can open up the house to the guys that want to spend the weekend sleeping, and camping out here.
So we will be building in the evenings. Our house is about an hour from the battle site, but we sure do have great fun building.
We can also make arrangements for anyone planning to fly in for the event.

I am trying to put a build-session schedule togetherfor July and August in order to help others with their Battlestations boats, so that we can get them finished in time for the Sept battle. It looks like I may be out of action for the next weekend or two. But August looks good for building.
But it would be great to get even the partially built ships to the event. Battle-ready. Sea-trials ready. Or even just sit in the grass and look pretty with Nikki ready.
Let's keep our eye on the ball, and keep working on these ships.

The ribs for the Gustav V are being cut at this moment. Only primaries might be armed for this battle.

The USS Saipan, and another 1/96 scale ship will be ready for battle in Sept.
I may in addition bring the New Jersey out of mothballs.....

    Any progress on the convoyship?
I think we are up to 7-8 Battlestations boats at this time.
It seems like there may be some sort of secret build going on that I am not privvy to as well.

The Strasbourg is almost ready for sea trials. I have fired the main cannons. Throttle, rudder, and pump installed.
Main cannons armed, but I have not been able to make the turrets move as yet. Bummer. There may still be time.

Mogador has throttle, rudder, and pump installed. No cannons as yet.
She will make a good little Frenchie.
She can currently leave port under-fire, flee, take some damage, and then scuttle herself in order to make her adversaries feel good!
I hope to find time to install some sort of cannon, so that she can shoot back.

Neither of my Frenchies will be battle-ready on Friday. But they will be in the battles on Saturday, and Sunday.
