I wasn't sure where to post this but here we go. I was wondering what ya'll are using for Decals. I would like to put the ship number and name on the hull. I am having a hard time finding any 1/144 scale decals. So I started looking for US Navy Font so I can print my own. I also struck out here. Now I am asking you guys to see what you use. Thanks in advance for the info.

Most of us don't. Keep in mind that some of the decal material I have come across over the years can render that section of the hull impenetrable per some of the drop tests.

If we want numbers, the best way I have seen is to paint it on with a paint mask.

You can get decal paper that can be printed on with an ink jet. I've never used it myself, for reasons Greg notes, plus just not that interested. 1 problem, as I understand it, is that the decal is clear & there's no way for an inkjet (or most any other printer, for that matter) to print white. If you're interested, though, Google on "decal paper" or take a look in some of the scale model ship forums scattered around.
