SHIPPING ?'S

    does anyone know of a reasonably priced way to ship these boats i sold my USS Chicago and ups wants $187 to ship it from illinois to california

    Try Fedex and the USPS, I think it will be $50-$60.

    another trick that sometimes works is that a fedex account signup (free) saved me 10-15% over what I was paying and I can keep track of shipments better

    Be sure to ship ground, not air. The dimensional weight cutoffs are different for the two, and can really affect the price of the shipping.

    Greyhound may be an option also if speed is not priority.

    What's your package weigh? I've shipped bigger hulls for about a third of that via UPS...

    Tug is right. I sent him two hulls for circa $70.

    **Note for the 'Tug builds too many ships' fan club, those hulls J sent me are for our battling Boy Scout contingent, not for me :) I'm sticking with POW so that Lou can't pick on me :) (Lou, you're great, it helps me to have you remind me that I change boats too much, so please don't stop :)

    i think they were charging me for air. it weights around 10 pounds i think and 50 inches long
