Just thought i would show off the ships ill be taking to the NATS here in NC this year. Might get bored and add more detail to both before then. But they are atleast in basic battle trim. Bis still needs its AA's installed. But anyway here we go.

Nice looking Bismarck. Are the decks planked or scribed?

The decks are nether planked or scribed. I do vehicle graphics and wraps for a living. The deck i drew out and colored in a program like photo shop and printed it on a vinyl sheet that has an adhesive on the back and stuck it on my wooden plywood deck. Looks nice from a few feet away as well as right on-top of it. Check out are work to get a better understanding at Routhsigns.com.

But yea its alot easy than planking or scribing alot less work. And yes the destroyer is a z-23 =)

    Hey Neil,
If I laid out the decks on my NC or Nagato in Photo Shop and put all the detail in could you print it on your vinyl printer?

What would the cost be for a 60" deck? Or mulitples of decks on one sheet, if your printer only takes wide material.

I saw some vinyl decks on Ron Hunts Invisable, is this the stuff you are talking about?

That's a pretty nifty way to make planked decks. Cool.

Yes, i did rons deck on the invincible. Id have to work out the cost since im not exactly sure what it cost me the last time. Maybe ill try and put together a price to see what it would be. Curt, yea its nifty and fast and looks good for what it is but it still cant compare to the real deal and craftsmanship of a planked deck. But it does add alot for less work.
