So 5 months after buying my house, things have finally settled down enough that I've begun clearing out the garage and thinking about what I want for a workspace, and I thought 'Why not see what other Captains are doing?'. I thought there was a thread already for this, but I can't find one, so I've decided to make one.
So, show us your workspaces, messy or clean, large or small!

This is what mine looks like currently after deconstructing the 'Curiously Unstable Plant Storage System' of the previous owners.

I'm right there with you Nikki. Mine isn't quite the dining room table, but more like the longer section of my large L-shaped computer desk in the living room of our apartment.

Unfortunately, that is NOT my workshop. :( She's one of Pete K's old boats I've heard. It's a beauty.

And of course you could weaken the frames in it an start with a few holes to make it an "as is" version. :)

The workshop isn't getting any bigger though! Need to start working up something ASAP.

It IS an Omaha, and it is a bunch of fun to drive. Need to double check the legality of her armament, but once you get the weight distributed right inside the ship it will turn on it's side and pop right back up.

The casements are legal in fast gun and Battlestations (as they had main gun armament in them), the only grey area I see is how close the end of the barrel is to the water. And I can offer no opinion either way on that, as it hasn't come up within my hearing. I know that David Ranier built one with similar gun layout and no one I know of in MWC Region 3 (SE USA) had any objection to him battling it like that.

I think I asked about cannons in casements close to the water once on the MWC list and couldn't really get a definitive answer about it.

The Omaha is legal in the MWC as built, not sure on the IRC, but the rule sets are close so I would think so. Its had to tell but the guns are 14 deg off the centerline, and not in the water, so they meet the rules. If they touch the water you can always just cut the barrel lenghts down some, but those are rifled barrels, I wwould just get other shorter ones, and use them on somthing else. Chris P tried to change it to 5 deg for smaller ships last year, but it did not pass.

I gave the Omaha to him, just got too many boats as it is, and not enough time, since I have 2 new boats in the works now.
