Okay a question seams simple but let’s see …
A little history January of 07 I ordered my wood to build my sons liberty ship as well as extra balsa to cover my Baltimore hull that was coming from Barnstormers well we all know what happened there (if you are listening Tim cant wait to get it) so one year later I scratched built one and now I'm looking at the balsa I skinned when I did my sons and wondering is it any good so I guess the question is, what is the shelf life of skinned balsa?

A heck of a lot longer than it would be in combat!

what I've noticed on the Yamato is that as the balsa gets older, it gets dryer and harder, so will be more apt to shatter when hit instead of a nice clean hole
