I was cleaning out my shop and came across a USS Houston superstructure kit (or most of it, anyways) by Swampworks. This is the kit with the high density foam (amazing stuff) and styrene outlines of decks. It also has molded turrets (in fact I think there are extras), lots of pre-cut brass rods for the masts and whatnot, and some other molded pieces as well. If there is any interest I'll post pics. I'm not really sure at the moment what a reasonable price would be, so I'm asking the buyer to make an offer.
Remember, I can't guarantee it's all there! From what I can tell everything is there except one styrene deck (but I think there is a wooden one of that deck thrown in the bag). I'll take pictures if there is interest.

RE: Swampworks USS Houston Superstructure Kit I'll try to get some pics taken tonight.

If anyone else is interested, consider the kit still for sale until I post something here saying otherwise.

Lol! Temptress! Bad enough that you flaunt your wares on the web!!! My boat disease keeps me up at night, thinking impure thoughts about complete Northampton or Arizona kits... Ooo! Christmas is coming :)

Any way you and Stephen can think of a way to do Strike Models gift certificates? I have many boat-clueless relatives who want to give me things :)

Actually Strike gift certificates would be a neat idea.

RE: Swampworks USS Houston Superstructure Kit I started my battling life as an Allied pollywog, and periodically some of the 'prettier' ships try to seduce me from my Axis path. Never fear, komerades, I have some plans on the way from Profile Morskie that will produce an excellent Axis ship :)

As much as I hate to help highjack a topic with OT posts, I think Strike gift certs would be a great idea. Its kind of hard explaining to the gf that I want 4.5 units worth of guns in various configurations for my Gneisenau.

RE: Swampworks USS Houston Superstructure Kit Sure! We'll figure something out for gift certificates. Thanks for the idea everyone, as it's something we haven't even thought of.

The shopping cart system doesn't automatically support gift certificates, though it looks like it supports one-time coupon codes. I think if I do a coupon code and print that on a gift certificate and set it for the amount of the certificate, we'll be good.

I don't know if we can do a "fill in the amount you want to purchase" option online. I may need to have a few options like $25, $50, $75, and "call/email us for a custom amount".

Does this sound like it would work for you guys? Anything I've overlooked? As long as we're hijacking this thread, anyone interested in Strike Models shirts/hats/etc? Black with our logo big on back in white, and small on the front. If there's interest, I think I could put something up on Cafe Press fairly easily.
