i have a question about my wonderfull plans from strike as i look at the rib and deck layout i want the ribs to lock into the caprail the question is do i add the tab on the top of the rib or deduct from the plan height of the rib this seems correct to me but i wanted to ask before i start layout
its the independence plans actually not the cleveland(i bought both building the carrier first) but they are pretty close also what do you guys suggest on the decks its a carrier so it has 2 ,should i make them so they seperatefrom each other and the flight deck floats or attatch the flight and lower deck ( i guess we can call that the hanger deck its the weather deck though) so they come off as a unit to access the ships mechanicals.
thx for the read i appreciate any feedback

Look through the various wood ship threads for RCENGR's (I don't have his list of ships handy) ships or Mine (Provence, Mackensen, Littorio) to see how folks have done that.

You can click on the HMS Queen link in my signature to see how I did my escort carrier. I thought it was easier to take off just the flight deck, which is why I did mine that way. I have also see some carriers with everything above the weather deck one piece (2" foam I think) and it also worked.

the fore and aft elevators on the carrier flight deck would make nice floats when sunk. :)
