Just as in real life, every ship that sails needs to be supplied, so too with our ships. For those of us just getting started it would be helpful to have a supply list. What do we need to construct and keep our ships supplied and maintained? Therefore I’m asking the experienced captains to help compile a list what supplies are needed and which works best, listing them by name and brand would be most helpful. For example: What products are best to coat your decks with to keep them waterproof? What is the best epoxy to use that’s both strong and water resistant? Products to patch your ship with, amunition to use, etc.

    Hi Don,

That’s a tough one as most of this hobby is personal preference as no two ships are a like. but if you have no place to start than use the search button on here if that brings no answer then just start a thread and we will all chime in good luck. Oh and the best epoxy to use is west system and that also is what we use to coat the decks now watch you will see how different we all are [;)]

While West is the best, there are several cheaper that'll do the job. And I also use varnish for my decks and frames, give it two coats and it's good.

But I agree, some kind of list might be helpful. I'll try to write down some stuff. I'm sure some better-organized members already have lists :)

List? Uhh yeah I didn't really make a list. If I did, I probably scratched on an index card right before I went to the hobby or hardawre store. I'll see what I can come up with, but these are custom ships. Respective builders have differing ways of builing them.

I had a list on my PE build that Curt asked me to make up, it should still be there.
