So were the kort nozzles steerable or was it just the rudder steering the ship?

We use just the prop installed normally, not the whole cort nozzle. So it is just the rudder turning the ship.

Just the rudders. Our rules are written so that only the rudders turn the ships, no thrusters, variable pitch props, motor reversing, etc. Actually after some review with the Bob I'm fabricating some new rudders which should help the turning out a little more. The Kaplan props are still nifty, I've since fitten them to the Moltke and one of my cruisers.

Have you found some Kort props that fit 1/8" shafts?

When you order them from Prop Shop just tell them want size hole you want drilled for the shaft. They'll do any size. I'm pretty sure all their stuff is made to order.
Or if they come with the larger hole solder in a sleeve to make the shaft fit.

Just email the shop, they are really nice. They can do the hubs in a variety of diameters and thread patterns.
