probably the biggest model ship in R.C warship combat. but this ship comes at a price ( one that will probably burn a hole in your wallet ) but if its legal in the game i find a way to save your self a good $200.00. how? buy the norht carolina cannont kit! a yamato is eight units, and its cannons come at a high price, but the north carolina kit comes with three triple fire, five single fire cannons. with that you can easily put that in a yamato and save yourself a good 200.00 dollars

first this is the wrong place to post a question or statment about small/fast gun ships and equment the general section would be better. also getting a 5 unit kit for a ship that uses a unit 7 point system means that u are just underarming your ship. the North carolina kit or the 5 unit kit comes with 2 coil guns and 3 straights. the 7 unit kit or the Yamato kit means that u get 7 straight also there ae alot more Valves to a 7 unit kit that can reason y it drives up the price more. I think you may have read the what the BC website is saying hope that helps

I think you're confusing the difference between turrets and cannons. A turret is a location on a ship where cannons can be placed. For example, the Bismark has four main turrets and the Iowa has three main turrets. A cannon, on the other hand, is the actual weapon that is placed in the turret. An example of this is the North Carolina, which in Fast Guns combat often has three individual cannons placed in its aft turret (for triple fire) and two individual cannons placed in the forward turrets, one per turret. The NC cannon kit comes with 2 cannons with coil magazines and 3 cannons with straight magazines. The 3 with straight mags are intended to be chained together in the aft turret and fire all together, hence the term "triple fire." The 2 with coil mags are meant to be split between the two forward turrets, so there are 2 single cannons. The Yamato kit has 7 straight mag cannons. 3 are meant for the stern turret, like in the NC. The other 4 are split between the 2 forward turrets, so there are 2 turrets with 2 cannons each (called dual-fire). Getting the North Carolina cannon kit will leave Yamato under-gunned.

Fast Gun cannons provide one barrel per cannon, so you can stick several in a single turret. Big Gun style "Indiana" cannons have two, three, or even four barrels per cannon, and so a single cannon in Big Gun is sufficient for a single turret. However, Indiana cannons are intended for Big Gun combat and cannot be used in Fast Gun combat.

And don't think that we don't like you, or are chasing you off, but this section is for 1/96 battling. For 1/144 you want to post in the SAS section, or in General stuff... So we can keep threads where they belong. Also, some people don't read the 1/96 stuff and you might lose out on their opinions and help too.
