Very sad. There are 2 remaining WW1 vets from Britain, the only survivors left in the world.

I read up on Frank Buckles a bit over the last couple years. I cannot help but be extremely sorrowful at his passing, and immensely proud of him for having lived so long and carried on so bravely a legacy that many of us have forgotten. May he rest in peace.

"They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we shall remember them. Lest We Forget."

I hope there will never come a time when we forget these warriors, from all sides, who fought for their countries, and often, never returned.

I was reading a write-up on him on Monday (I think).
    Very powerful story.
