timing circuits

    (biggun) What sort of timing circuits or devises are used to regulate the time between shots from a gun/battery?

    It's not standardized... I think the Austrailians have a good design, although I haven't used it. I think one of the guys in Ntxbg has a good design too... but I mostly mutter one onethousand, two onethousand, and so on... so I'm not quite up to speed :)

    Usually some variant of a 555 timer or microcontroller

    Most clubs don't have a physical way of enforcing the true rate of fire restrictions. They're in the rulebook to look pretty, and everyone tries to follow them, but there's no real measurement or enforcement going on. And ya know what? That method works out just fine.
